THE Logitech announced an agreement to buy from the American microphone manufacturer Blue microphones. The terms of the agreement were not specified by either company, but it is known that the purchase price was $ 117 million (about R $ 440 million in direct conversion). Logitech already manufactures microphones for end consumers, and now with Blue the company will have the resources to develop and manufacture professional equipment.
Logitech aims to enter the microphone market "faster and win over consumers with new products," said Bracken Darrell, CEO of Logitech, in a blog post.
Working together with Blue, we have a new way to grow.

With the acquisition, Logitech further expands its portfolio of brands. In 2016, the company bought Jaybird for $ 50 million. Last year, the company acquired headphones maker Astro for $ 85 million.
Blue Microphones produces professional peripherals that are used by musicians and podcasters, including the famous music group Imagine Dragons and Bob Dylan using the branded equipment to record their music. Logitech's acquisition of Blue Microphones will be completed in August 2018.
