Make your desktop more beautiful with Android Animated Wallpaper
Leave your Ubuntu with the animated background on Galaxy Nexus
Wallpaper is one of the most important parts of a beautiful desktop, what if it is animated just like it is on Android phones?
This is an implementation that KDE 4.10 promises to bring, and while graphical environments do not graphically feature this feature we can forge them through a program called LiveWallpaper.
So far there are only two animated backgrounds, just them:
The first on the Nexus and the second has the Galaxy theme.
How to install on Ubuntu and derivatives
Add a PPA through the terminal, update and install using the following commands sequentially:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: fyrmir / livewallpaper-stablesudo apt-get updatesudo apt-get install livewallpaper livewallpaper-config livewallpaper-indicator
Once installed look for the program in the application menu, it comes with an applet that is in the system tray making it easy to change and configure from one model to another.
This type of feature usually uses up more system resources than a normal wallpaper, so if your computer is older, keep the wallpapers animated.
