The tool offers an extensive free collection of audiobooks in Portuguese, and you can enjoy extra benefits with an annual plan of R $ 249.99. The subscription allows you to listen to audiobooks anywhere without an Internet connection, and receive more news in summaries per month. Even though the application catalog is focused on nonfiction books (aimed at personal development), classic works of literature are also available on the platform, such as Dom Casmurro, by Machado de Assis.

Despite the library with many audiobooks in English, LibriVox also has some narrations of works from Brazilian literature. To find them, just choose Portuguese as the language on the app’s home screen. Unlike other apps for listening to books, LibriVox does not have a paid version because all available works are in the public domain. Thus, its collection is essentially composed of classic books, without current literary works.

The interface is simple and easy to navigate, even with English set as the default language. The entire catalog is divided into genres, authors, lists or news. The search tool allows you to search for specific audiobooks using keywords. Reading suggestions also appear on the main screen. Before the narration, the user can read a summary of the book. The story, on the other hand, is divided into sections of audios, which are alternated in reading. In addition, readers can rate audiobooks in stars.

Ubook is an app for anyone who wants to listen to books on their cell phones at any time. Its interface is similar to music apps, like Spotify. The gallery has many copies, mainly of contemporary literature. Some works in the catalog are accessible free of charge and in Portuguese, or in other languages. The books are separated into more than 30 categories, which include formats such as newspapers and comic books.

To access the full content of the Ubook, you must pay a subscription fee of R $ 249.90 per year, or R $ 29.90 per month. An interesting element of the app is the section dedicated to children, which is personalized with different colors and a complete catalog of children’s audiobooks. Another innovative feature is that it has a news tab. In this part, the user can read the main headlines of what happens in Brazil, in the world or in other areas of interest.
