With the release on Linux 4.5 Kernel we will have an improvement in this regard.
In Kernel version 4.5 experimental support for Powerplay has been added to AMDGPU, this should improve power management for Noteobooks and also slightly improve gaming performance. In addition to optimizing the AMD driver, the new kernel version improves Btrfs file system scalability support.
