VLibras is a free Libras app for Android and iPhone phones (iOS) that allows you to translate texts into the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras).
The tool uses a digital avatar of a 3D character to develop the signs of Libras and facilitate communication with deaf or hard of hearing people.
Phrases can be typed on the keyboard or dictated using Google's speech recognition tool.

The procedure was performed on a Moto G7 Play with Android 9.0 (Pie), but the tips also apply to other smartphones with the Apple system.

Step 1.
Install the VLibras app on your phone.
On the main screen of the app, tap on the button indicated to translate a text.
Enter the desired word or phrase and tap "Translate";

Step 2.
If you prefer, you can dictate the content to be translated into Libras.
To do this, use the microphone cone and speak the desired word or phrase;

Step 3.
In the bottom bar, touch the button indicates to access the Libras dictionary.
You can use the search bar to easily find what you are looking for.

Step 4.
The last button on the option bar is used to enable or disable the caption.
Use the slider to select the speed of the translations.
On the right, you can sort a translation, export the video or repeat.
Touch the button in the upper right corner of the screen to switch between the male and female Libras interpreter;

Step 5.
The VLibras app can also interpret regional expressions.
To do this, access the application menu and tap on "Regionalism".
Finally, choose your state and press "OK".
