V50 ThinQ 5G
While some companies are discussing the importance of folding smartphones such as Samsung and Huawei, LG has chosen a different path by allowing the user to use an extra screen when they want / need it.
To this end, LG implemented a Dual Screen technology to the V50 through a case that can activate a second 6.2 ″ OLED display with 21601080 pixel resolution (the main one, also OLED, has 6.4 ″ and a resolution of 31201440 pixels).
The case connects to the V50 from three pins, leaving it at an angle of 104 or 180 (making it virtually a gaming console). It's also big: about 15.5mm thick and 131 grams plus 183 grams of the V50, the handset is heavier than Huawei's Mate X.
Nevertheless, the device features essentially the same chassis as its predecessor, the V40 (apart from the tacky 5G bright logo from the rear of the device), but with a beautifully redesigned interior. In this sense, the V50 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, X50 5G modem, Wi-Fi 6 support, a 4,000mAh battery and a fingerprint reader on the back of the device.
It also has a triple rear camera system (with a 12MP main lens, 16MP wide-angle lens and 12MP telephoto); At the front the device is equipped with two cameras, one 8MP (with aperture / 1.9) and one 5MP (/ 2.2). To deal with the heat generated by the 5G modem, LG has increased the size of the device's cooling system by 40%.
The manufacturer has not yet informed the price and official release date of the V50 ThinQ; However, he said the device would be available first to major carriers in the United States (such as Sprint), South Korea, Australia and some European countries in the first half of this year.
G8 ThinQ
To highlight the G-device line amid so much news in the smartphone market, LG launched the G8 ThinQ with an unconventional biometric security method. That's right; no recognition of iris or fingerprint. The phone recognizes the palm of your hand!
More precisely, the device can identify the blood vessels in the palm of your hand through the G8 front camera technology which, in addition to an 8MP main camera, features a Z Camera ToF lens (Z TrueDepth version) infrared light that allows you to unlock the device in this way even in the dark.

G8s ThinQ
The alternative model to the G8 ThinQ has several features similar to it, including the camera's depth camera. Air motion. Among the differences, the G8s ThinQ has a 6.2 ″ screen and slightly lower quality, yet Full HD + (2248 × 1080 pixels).
Not having an OLED Crystal Sound screen, this model does not emit sounds through the display, making the cutout at the front is a little larger. At the rear, it has a triple camera (13MP + 12MP + 12MP) plus an internal storage option (128GB) and slightly smaller battery capacity (3,350mAh).
LG has also not disclosed the value and release date of the G8 ThinQ and G8s ThinQ.
