LG GW620, LG's Android Phone arrives in Brazil

LG Electronics today announced the launch of the LG GW620, its smartphone model with Google's Android operating system. With local production, the new device is intended for those who use their cell phones for other entertainment activities besides making calls, such as exchanging messages, reading and sending e-mails, playing games, capturing videos and images, among others.

<< With a focus on access to social media, the model has innovative features in this area, such as a social network aggregator, in which the user receives an alert when a message posted on one of their web pages, and the possibility of identifying a person in a photo (with recognition in future images) and add her contacts, making it easier to make calls, join social networks or send SMS.

More and more smartphones have gained importance and won the preference of Brazilian consumers. The LG GW620, with the new Android operating system, a device that seeks to make smartphone functionalities more accessible to users, with the main objective of facilitating their daily lives, says Marcus Daniel de Souza Machado, Sales director at the LG Electronics cell phones in Brazil.

The new smartphone has a 3-inch touchscreen display and, in the slider format, has an extended five-line QWERTY keyboard, which provides greater typing comfort. It also has 3G technology (HSDPA7.2 and HSUPA2.0), fast Internet access, 5.0 megapixel camera, with 4x zoom, A-GPS and Wi-Fi connection.

In addition to the features already mentioned, the LG GW620 also has the function LG Push Mail *, in which the consumer does not pay to download their emails in real time. This is an important added value and one of the differentials of LG in relation to the competition, says Rodrigo Ayres, product manager of the Cell Phones division of LG Electronics in Brazil. >>
