Almost a month and a half after starting to sell the new iMacs, Apple still faces problems with inventory of the machines. At the Brazilian Apple Online Store, 21.5-inch models have a 1-2 week lead time, while larger 27-inch models have 3-4 week lead times.
The explanation for this, according to the DigiTimes, that LG Display is having trouble producing the panel of the new machines more specifically in the laminating process. To get an idea of the thing, sources on the website stated that the shipments of 27 ″ iMacs are around 100,000 units / ms! Although they are also suffering from stocks, the smaller models have a better production rate, in the range of 300,000-400,000 per month.
Also according to them, the supplier's production should improve significantly in February.
