The idea is to slowly abandon the Motorola brand and use only "Moto" in the handsets, which should keep the traditional "M" in the handsets that leave. From then on the handsets will be marketed under the brand "Moto by Lenovo".
The change is a bit strange because although Lenovo is the largest computer manufacturer in the world today, it does not have a respect mark in the world of telephony, something that Motorola has.
