Legends is released for macOS with a little help from Mac Catalyst

Asphalt 9: Legends para macOS

Finally, the soap opera Asphalt 9: Legends at the Mac it is closed with a happy ending. If you remember, Gameloft (studio responsible for the game) took the stage of the last WWDC to present the version of the game for macOS, whose development was possible only because of Project Mac Cataylst.

The title quickly became (along with Twitter) one of the flagships of the technology, being featured on the Mac Catalyst page on Apple’s official website. Things got a little more confusing, however, when the game was pulled from there, raising speculation that Gameloft was having trouble developing it.

Well, any problems that may have been found have already been solved, since Asphalt 9: Legends is now available on the Mac App Store.

The game basically brings the same experience found on the iPhone and iPad, with an extensive catalog of real life supercars, breathtaking tracks and challenging races. On the Mac, controls are all performed with a mouse / keyboard (or with joysticks compatible) and the game can run at up to 60 frames per second.

We have the same game modes single-player or multiplayer, with races and regular events taking place in the game environment. Naturally, all your progress on any device is synchronized between all devices connected to your account.

Asphalt 9: Legends is available for free on the Mac App Store, with a lot of in-house purchases that enhance the gameplay and unlock extra options within the game. It is worth remembering that it requires macOS Catalina and at least 2.5GB of free disk space. Happy racing!
