Let's face it: conversation on Apple watch something relatively complicated. At least for me, continuing a conversation on the clock is not one of the most enjoyable experiences, but there are features that make or even solve most of these obstacles.
Among these, Apple Watch can transcribe what you want to say and send it as a text message to your recipient, which is not very reliable given the ability to understand our language. However, to solve this you can simply send a voice message, as explained in this tutorial.
But in those situations where sending or listening to audio may be recommended / permissible, the good old message is the best option. In some cases, the recipient requires a simple, short answer, which can be sent from Apple Watch with just one tap via default answers.
By default, watchOS defines some answers that may be useful to the user in any situation. However, you can create new custom replies with phrases or terms that you use repeatedly and thus send messages to your conversations even more easily.
To view / use predefined answers, swipe down (or rotate the Digital Crown) until the end of the message notification. However, if you have no choice, follow the next steps to customize your default answers:
- On iPhone, open the Watch app and tap the "My Watch" tab.
- Access the menu Posts Replies Standard.
- Tap a standard answer to change it, or select “Add Answer” to create a new option.
So whenever you can't send a message from iPhone, just use the predefined replies to answer your conversations faster. Quite simple, isn't it?
To delete or edit the order of the default answers, simply return to the “Default Answers” menu, swipe left on one of the options and tap “Delete”; To reorder them, tap "Edit" in the upper right corner of the screen. Quite simple, isn't it?
