Leaker “confirms” launch of iPad Pro with 5G and Mini-LED screen in 2021

Last April, we commented on a rumor that raised the possibility that Apple had postponed the launch of the next iPad Pro (initially expected later this year) for 2021 due to the pandemic of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19). More than the date of the announcement of this future device, however, the rumors mention some possible news of the next tablet flagship of the Apple.

Among the assumptions, it is expected that the model will gain the long-awaited support for the 5G and the infamous Mini-LED screen. Now the leaker @ L0vetodream “Confirmed” this information; as well as that the next iPad Pro may even be launched in the first half of 2021.

In the tweets above, the leaker cites Qualcomm’s X55 chip, which supports both mmWave (faster) and sub-6GHz (longer) frequencies of 5G. This is the same modem that will be able to equip this year’s iPhones, so it makes sense that Apple will also use them in the next generation of the iPad Pro – in addition to a new “A14X” chip, as already speculated.

The adoption of Mini-LED screens is another buzz that has also given something to talk about. Although Apple hasn’t introduced any gadgets with this technology yet, rumors have been circulating for months – analysts Jeff Pu (of GF Securities) and Ming-Chi Kuo (of TF International Securities) have said that the first iPad Pro with Mini-LED it may arrive next year, really.

THE leaker @ L0vetodream accurately revealed some details about the new iPhone SE, launched last April, as well as about the current generation of the iPad Pro. As a result, it is increasingly difficult to believe that there will be another update to Apple’s top-of-the-line tablet. this year, as speculated earlier.
