The leaks continue to pile up and there is less and less doubt that Samsung has a new foldable smartphone to present. Ben Geskin, known for revealing secrets of the great techs, published a video this week that appears to feature the new Galaxy Z Flip. Want to see you in action? Now take a look at the video below.
As the rumors indicated, this new model is a modern version of the old "flip phones", with a horizontal hinge in the middle that allows it to fold in two. The compact device integrates an external display, but hides another, much higher, inside.
The clip does not reveal anything about the technical specifications of this phone, although it reveals that there are two cameras on the outside and a hole centered on the top of the main screen that accommodates the front camera.
Initial rumors indicated that the Z Flip would feature a 6.7-inch screen with 2,636 x 1,080 resolution. The protective glass will be more durable than the one covering the Galaxy Fold screen; and the processor must be a Snapdragon 855 Plus. The RAM should reach 8 GB and there is no entry for headsets or microSD cards – according to most leaks. The internal storage, in turn, should reach 256 GB.
It is speculated that the equipment will make a first appearance at the Unpacked event that the South Korean technology has scheduled for February 11, and that it should reach the market soon after. The price should not be similar to that of the Galaxy Fold, but it is possible that it will be above any other non-folding flagship, given the recent technology that is involved in its development.
