League of Legends will be released for mobile devices

On the occasion of Riot Games' celebrations for the 10th anniversary of its League of Legends game, the plan for the future of the brand on mobile devices was finally revealed. League of Legends: Wild Rift is an adaptation of the game for iOS and Android that will officially arrive in 2020. But that's not all, since Legends of Runeterra, a competitive card game set in the same universe, is also announced for the mobile devices version of Teamfight Tactics and other future projects like a fighting game and an animation series.

As is clear from the countless MOBAs that populate the Android ecosystem, there was no lack of desire to see LoL mobile. It’s not a direct port, actually the whole design was made from scratch to adapt the control system to touchscreen screens. In fact, it will be the same version that also comes to consoles and it will be cross-platform, but not including the PC version, which will remain independent. Follow the same business model as the older brother, that is, it will be completely free and we will be able to unlock the characters while playing, with in-game purchases directed to skins.

In addition, we know that 40 characters will initially be available and that a preview mode will be included to see models and animations of the characters in 3D. Although the game is announced for 2020, there is a plan for the launch of the alpha and beta testing phases, and in fact it is already possible to pre-register through Google Play and visit the official website.

Legends of Runeterra

Another of the great announcements was this one Free-to-Play card game for PC, iOS and Android set in the same universe and following the footsteps of the well-known CCG as Hearthstone. In this case, the cards will be organized by regions of the world of Runeterra (Demacia, Noxus, Freljord, Piltover and Zaun, Ionia and the Shadow Islands) that we can combine to form our decks. In addition, we can include up to 24 heroes from the LoL universe with their own special abilities.

To obtain new cards we will have to participate in the daily and weekly events that will take place, but we can also get cards through transactions. In this case, to avoid the boredom of repeated cards, we will be able to choose which card to purchase from those available in the game store.

The plan for the launch in 2020 has already begun, and pre-registration can be done through the official website and participate in the impending closed betas. In fact, after the conclusion of the Riot Games celebration event started the first preliminary phase and we have already seen several streamers playing the matches.

Teamfight Tactics

A few months ago the genre of autochess / autobattle reached the main public, among which stood out Teamfight Tactics, which initially arrived exclusively for PC. Now it was announced that we will have version for mobile devices following the same premise as the original and with cross-platform. That is, strategic turn-based games where we must place our heroes on a board and resist as many rounds as possible.

For now the game opened the pre-registration for mobile devices.
