Launch of the Apple TV would not be that imminent

iTVYesterday we talked about the possible imminent arrival of a TV or a renovated set-top box from Apple. According to the AllThingsD, things are really happening for a future product launch. The vehicle itself had already said that negotiations were going on and that some statements, such as that of Time Warner Cable CEO Rob Marcus, who said he would give up control of the user interface to Ma.

But for the always well-informed technology vehicle of the WSJ, the problem in all this is the word * imminent *. This is because they did not hear anything about the possible finalization of the agreements with the content providers, something essential for the launch of the product.

Undoubtedly, some pieces are still missing for whom this supposed product will be launched. In my opinion, there is a “perfect” moment for the launch if all these negotiations end: first half of 2013. This is because, as we know, Apple ran in the second quarter of 2012 and launched everything it could (iPhone, iPads and Macs) , leaving Jony Ive, Bob Mansfield, Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi to take their new responsibilities. Taking into account that the product is already relatively ready and that only the negotiations have to be completed, this would be the best period.
