Launch of AirPods (new wireless headphones from Apple) may stay for 2017; or not

Apple's expectation was to launch the AirPods (new wireless headsets introduced with iPhones 7/7 Plus) until the end of October, but recently we informed that the company's plans did not go as planned and that this launch will be delayed.

As I said, delaying a product that was presented more than a month ago and that is expected by many users is something very bad. However, it would be much worse to put something unfinished on the market. So, it is a correct and courageous attitude to step on the brake and only make AirPods available when everything is 100%. The problem: when to be 100%? Apple did not comment at all on anything it could, for example, have reported a new launch date / period (for example, late November). But no, we have no clue.

Today, like someone who wants nothing, DigiTimes commented on the revenue of Inventec, which is expected to increase significantly in 2017 due to the manufacture of AirPods. But that's exactly what you read: in 2017, as the new miniature headphones hair dryers would hit the market only in January next year.

If the vehicle is right (let's remember here that it has made a lot of mistakes in the past, but it has its history of hits), we are talking about three months late, which will certainly leave unsatisfied users who are not enjoying the experience of using it EarPods with Lightning connector and are waiting for Apple's completely wireless solution.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel: AppleInsider, the headphones will still be released in 2016. Although Apple does not comment on anything about it officially, website sources said that “in no way will the launch be pushed into January (2017)”. Corroborating this, contacts from the AppleInsider inside some stores reported that there are already demonstration units available in several of them (a total of 10 analyzed by THERE, 6 already had AirPods). Still according to people connected to the stores, only Apple's OK is needed so that the demonstrations can officially begin (that is, we will not be so far away from the launch).

We'll see
