Latest beta version of iOS 9.3 fixes the “time bug” and resurrects unused iPhones

In addition to what we have already commented on, the latest beta version of iOS 9.3 brought an interesting novelty.

As reported by the MacRumors, the new version resurrects iPhones that died when their dates were set for January 1, 1970 (the "time bug" that we comment on here on the site). In fact, there was even a way to resuscitate the devices, but they weren't as easy as downloading and installing a new version of iOS (manually, via iTunes).

In addition to resurrecting, iOS 9.3 beta 4 no longer lets users set the phone's date before December 31, 2000 a simple but viable way to “fix” the bug.

If you happen to have an iPhone unusable due to this bug, please note that the latest beta version of iOS 9.3 is now available to participants of the Apple Beta Software Program. 😉
