Counting steps is possible using the free Pedometer app, which is available for Android phones. The tool is useful for anyone who wants to stay active or would like to lose weight. The iPhone, on the other hand, has a low-power chip that remains active all the time and records each user’s step. The monitoring of activities can be performed using the Health app, which is native to the system.
In the following tutorial, check out how to use the Pedometer app on Android and Health on iOS to monitor your steps. The procedures were performed on a Moto E5 Plus with Android 8.0 Oreo and an iPhone 8 running iOS 12, but the tips apply to other Apple devices and phones with the Google system.
