Installation

  • cd / tmp
  • wget http://dl.dropbox/u/47950494/upubuntu/linux-kernel-3.6.8 -The linux-kernel-3.6.8
  • chmod + x linux-kernel-3.6.8
  • sudo sh linux-kernel-3.6.8
  • sudo reboot

If you have problems with the new Kernel and need to uninstall it, use the following commands:

  • sudo apt-get purge linux-image-3.6.8 *
