John Gruber changes his predictions about new Macs

John GruberAs long as the guy keeps his hit level up, he has to be watched, because he does seem to have hot springs in Cupertino. Today, in the face of so many rumors (1, 2 and 3) about new Macs, John Gruber, from Daring Fireball, once again commented on the possible launches and changed its past forecasts a little.

According to him, it will not be now that we will see a Blu-ray drive reaching the iMacs or as an option. He himself mentioned this possibility before, comments that it really existed, but that it was discarded by Apple. The company believes that distributing HD movies on the iTunes Store is still the best option for high-resolution multimedia entertainment.

Apple announcements that could happen this week, who knows, may include new iMacs, new polycarbonate MacBooks, new keyboard and mouse and a small update on Mac mini.

Finally, Gruber corroborates the rumors of a multi-touch sensor in place of the scroll wheel of the new Mighty Mouse.
