@JasonCalacanis: Apple tablet will run “extended version” of iPhone OS

Founder of Weblogs, Inc. (a conglomerate of sites that includes, for example, Engadget), former general manager of Netscape and creator / CEO of Mahalo, Jason McCabe Calacanis does not say anything lip service. The web entrepreneur recently spoke on Twitter to his nearly 75,000 followers on the Apple tablet:

According to "a developer working for Apple" with whom Jason has contact, iTablet runs a modified / extended version of the iPhone OS, something that has been discussed for a while. In other words, I bet the system used will be a mix of Mac OS X with iPhone OS, something that makes a lot of sense if we add the idea of a bigger screen and resolution with capacities multi-touch.
