Apple today ran a specific commercial for the Japanese market, focused on Apple Pay.
Not everyone knows, but Apple's mobile payment system is a little different. The technology used for this type of payment in Japan, widely exploited in transport terminals, FeliCa (created by Sony and which is even faster than NFC).
Therefore, in order to extend the service's compatibility range in the country, Apple has incorporated support for it in the local models of iPhones 7/7 Plus (A1779 and A1785, as indicated on this page) and Apple Watches Series 2. And the Apple's new commercial highlights these points, showing the benefits of having an iPhone with Apple Pay in the country.
Apple Pay arrived in Japan in September this year and is currently present in 12 countries.
