iTunes will not reach the Windows Store until the end of the year, contrary to the initially promised

A few months ago, during the Build 2017 developer conference, Microsoft announced that it had reached an agreement with Apple for the Cupertino giant to release a version of iTunes to the Windows Store, the application store for the most widely used operating system in the world. In the words of Big Mat the time, the software would reach the end of 2017, but apparently it will not be the case.

Apple today confirmed to the ZDNet that the iTunes version for the Windows Store will not be completed in time to be launched at the originally promised window. As a company spokesman stated:

We are working with Microsoft to offer the full iTunes experience to our customers and we need a little more time to adjust everything.

Neither Apple nor Microsoft gave a new date for the arrival of the iTunes store, raising suspicions that perhaps the development of the product would have stopped or encountered some very big obstacle in the middle of it. However, according to the journalist and insider Microsoft's Mary Jo Foley does not indicate that the two companies will cancel the initiative and we should see the special version of iTunes very soon.

In fact, the only people who will be really frustrated by the postponement of iTunes are users of Windows 10 S, which only accepts applications downloaded / purchased from the Windows Store. Even so, I am not aware that a significant number of people in the world like iTunes so much that they worry about its lack.
