Version 3.0 of the app allows students to hand over homework assignments for them, take notes in PDFs and chat privately with their teachers. In addition, it allows educators to assess and track student progress with an integrated gradebook, include multiple attachments in a task, and import content from other apps.
The annotation part, it's worth noting, is very similar to what Apple is testing as a native feature of iOS 9.
