Users of the App Store, iTunes Store, and iBooks Store have always had to register a credit card with their account to be able to make purchases at these stores. Today, Apple is including one more option in some countries: yes, the Apple pay.

On second thought, you can imagine that there is not much difference in experience. After all, when registering a card with your Apple ID, you also use the Touch ID or Face ID of iPhones / iPads to make payments. There are, however, three positive details about this new form of payment: You don't have to retype / re-register your card, Apple Pay security, and the purchase history, which is recorded directly in the Wallet app.

The news, however, still not available in Brazil or Portugal. According to the MacRumors As can be seen from this Apple support article, the company is initially offering the new option in the following countries: Australia, Canada, United Arab Emirates, United States, Hong Kong, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan and Ukraine. In the US, there is also the option to choose Apple Pay Cash as a payment method.

To choose Apple Pay as the official store payment method, just go to ITunes and App Store Settings (your email / Apple ID) Manage Payments Add Payment Method.

It is worth noting that in addition to these aforementioned options, in some countries Apple also allows users to pay for content directly via telephone operators (through their mobile phone bill). This is one more option that we have yet to wait to reach us.
