While in the West we have not yet experienced a year of massive Linux desktop sales, in China the year seems to have come, according to Dell, the revolution in this sector is happening right now.

The Chinese Dell told the "The Wall Street Journal" NeoKylin Linux used on about 42% of computers sold in the country, mostly on commercial and government computers, where Dell specializes.

HP is also among the top vendors, but has not revealed how many Linux computers it sells, however, they said a large portion of the total.

The Ubuntu Kylin based NeoKylin system uses the Gnome graphical interface as standard.

Windows is also sold in China, but apparently Linux-based systems have pleased users.
