Just yesterday we informed you that it was only a matter of time before the Itau bank start accepting debit cards at the Apple Pay.
We come back here to give you some good news: Apple Pay will accept debit card ? Soon we will let you know when it will be available, ok? =)

This “soon” promised by them, fortunately, was very fast: today, bank account holders are already using debit cards (whether Visa or Mastercard; multiple or not) in Apple’s payment system!

The bank’s page, however, does not yet detail exactly what types of cards are accepted in the service.

For the time being, none of Apple’s partner banks support additional credit cards, as well as cards of other brands than Visa or Mastercard (Elo, AMEX, etc.).
As always, we hope that additional cards, other flags and, of course, other banks /fintechs become part of the platform’s catalog – something essential for it to grow stronger and stronger.
