The sea at Key Biscayne, Florida, was quite unstable last Saturday (29/4) in the morning. This ended up causing water to enter a boat of just over five meters where three sailors were, as reported by the Fox 4.
The men, who were six kilometers from the mainland, managed to put on life jackets before the boat sank. One of the sailors had an iPhone 7, but he couldn't touch the screen to call for help.
They had an iPhone 7, which I now found to be waterproof. However, (the owner of the device) could not touch the screen with his fingers because it was cold, but he used Siri to call the emergency number.

As soon as they used the virtual assistant to make the emergency call, a coast guard helicopter managed to spot them and sent a diver to help them while they waited for the local police to arrive.
It is not the first time that the Siri emergency call feature is used. Last month, we saw a case in which a four-year-old child used this function to help his mother, who was unconscious.
Although we always want improvements on all sides, those that involve safety and emergency are always very important and are worth highlighting and remembering.
