Not long ago, Apple updated the Lightning Reader adapter for camera with SD card. With that, it now reaches the same speeds as a USB 3.0 when used in an iPad Pro since the Apple tablet supports these data transmission speeds.
But the novelties of this adapter did not stop there, after all, with the release of iOS 9.2 Apple also started to allow iPhones to use the Lightning Reader for camera with SD card, making life easier for those who care little for Macs / PCs and want import photos from your camera directly to your iPhone.
For now, even though it has not commented on anything, Apple has also started to allow iPhones to use the Lightning Adapter for camera with USB, something that until today was not allowed.

The Brazilian page of the product still does not show this, but if you enter the American you will see that in the compatibility part the iPhones 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 Plus, 6s and 6s Plus are already listed. This means that the life of those who like to import photos directly from cameras is now much easier, as they just take the USB cable from these devices and stick it on the iPhone using such an adapter.
As well as the Lightning Reader for camera with SD card, Apple also launched a new model of the Lightning Adapter for camera with USB (while the old one identified by part number MD821ZM / A, the new one for MD821AM / A; in Brazil the part number is different: MD821BZ / A). However, apparently the new adapter does not have any great news since both are working on iPhones and support the same data transmission speeds (compatible with USB 2.0), so there is not much to worry about when purchasing one.
