Samsung may be about to extend the Lite brand to other devices. After launching more economical versions of its smartphones under this designation, the South Korean technology should also create Lite versions of its tablets.
According to the Android Headlines portal, which advanced some details about the first model of its kind, the company should be about to launch a Lite variant of the Galaxy Tab S6. The tablet hit the market in 2019 and although this new version is being thought to match its shape and size, the model's technical specifications should be slightly less robust.
According to rumors, the processor will be an Exynos 9611 – with the Snapdragon 600 appearing alternatively in some regions – the RAM should reach 4GB and the internal storage should vary between 64GB and 128GB, depending on the edition.
As for the S Pen that appears in the published image, Android Headlines says that it should not be stored inside the tablet, as it happens with the Galaxy Tab S6, so it must be kept independently. That said, there is a chance that the accessory will be strictly optional and not an integral part of the equipment.
There are still no details that indicate a possible launch date. However, the Tab S5e has more than a year in the market, so the launch of this new Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite should be imminent.
