IPhone 11 teardown reveals little news compared to XR [atualizado: vĂdeo]

The wave of disassembly of the new iPhones was heavy in 2019, but was concentrated on the more expensive models of the new line. For this reason, to analyze what is in the bowels of the iPhone 11, nothing better than relying on the good old Pathfinders of iFixit.

The repair firm's people opened Apple's new incoming smartphone and, truth be told, they didn't find out much about its spiritual predecessor, the iPhone XR. The similarities already begin in the opening process, which as since the iPhone 6s, l in 2015 basically involves warmth, ability and patience to break the glue that binds the screen and the housing. Fortunately, upgrading the certificate of endurance (from IP67 to IP68) didn't make iPhone 11 any harder to open.

The iPhone 11 also preserves the rectangular battery of its predecessor, dispensing with the L-shaped components of the more expensive models. The cell phone of the new iPhone has, as previously reported, about 3,110mAh, or about 7% more than enough XR to give you about an extra hour of unplugged life.

One change from the XR is on the logic board: we have here, as with the iPhones 11 Pro, a two-layer board. In addition, there is the new dual camera module (with optical stabilization only on the wide-angle lens) and, as with the more expensive models, antennas built into the rear casing that seem to fit the new ultra-wideband technology.

An important point to be highlighted is the issue of bilateral loading. Unlike the iPhones 11 Pro, the “common” iPhone 11 does not have in its hardware supportive technology we do not have here additional battery connectors or coils of different design. That is, if Apple were in fact planning to announce the functionality, it would be exclusive to the most expensive models.

In the end, the iPhone 11 received six points (out of 10 possible) in the iFixit repairability index; According to the firm, changing the screen of the apparatus is relatively easy, but the glass construction lacks durability and changing the rear requires a replacement of several internal components.

Wallpapers

In time, iFixit also shared its traditional wallpapers with the guts of the new iPhones. Just go to this post and choose your device (for now, we only have options for iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro Max; the "common" 11 Pro has been left out for some reason), as well as the style you want we have both in sight internal as X-ray.

To apply the images, simply save them to your device and then go to Settings by selecting the “Background Image” option. To enhance the feeling of realism, it is best to turn off the perspective effect (one that slightly moves the image according to the movement of the screen).
