If you haven’t noticed, one of the changes reported by Apple is the implementation of the performance management system on last year’s devices (iPhone XR, XS and XS Max). This feature is the controversial one introduced in the iPhone 6, which reduces system performance when the physical battery starts to wear out. With that, when the current batteries start to show problems, the whole system will be slower so that there are no unexpected shutdowns of the device.
