In a press release just released, Apple announced that the iOS 9 has the fastest adoption rate in history surpassing the 50% iPads, iPhones and iPods touch currently in use according to data obtained from visits to the App Store.

"IOS 9 had an incredible start, on the way to being downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple's history," said Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for Apple.
At the press release, Apple also reiterated that the iPhones 6s and 6s Plus will be available for purchase in stores of the first batch of countries this Friday, September 25, at 8 am in the morning at the respective local times. Beginning on the 26th, consumers will also be able to book equipment for pick-up at Apple Retail Stores (subject to availability).
"The consumer response to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has been incredibly positive, and we can't wait to bring our most advanced iPhones to consumers today as of this Friday," concluded Schiller.
