iOS 12.2 brings images of the new Powerbeats Pro completely wireless [atualizado]

Last week, there was a rumor that Apple’s subsidiary Beats would launch a new all-wireless version of its Powerbeats headphones. Now, the rumor has just assumed the status of “imminent confirmation”: developer Guilherme Rambo, from 9to5Mac, discovered official images and animations of the future accessory in the bowels of the recently launched iOS 12.2.

From the filenames discovered by Rambo, everything indicates that the new phone will be called Powerbeats Pro. The design of the product itself seems to remain unchanged compared to the current generation, with an ear loop and everything – the only difference, of course, is the disappearance of the wire that joins the two pieces. The charging case, in turn, has a shape that resembles the AirPods’ case, but with a horizontal opening.

No more details about the headphones, such as battery life (of themselves and the case) and other technical specifications – sources heard last week, however, indicated that the Powerbeats Pro will have the same H1 chip as the new AirPods, with controller support “What’s up, Siri”, improved connectivity and less battery usage. It remains to be seen whether the case will support wireless charging and the (still) coming AirPower, like the new AirPods.

One thing is certain: if the official images of the product are already on iOS 12.2, it is very likely that we will have an official announcement very soon. It seems to be a great choice for those who were dreaming of new AirPods in black, for example.

Guilherme Rambo scrutinized the codes present in iOS 12.2 for Powerbeats Pro a little more deeply and hit the hammer: yes, the headphones will support the “Hey there, Siri” command. There is even a dedicated interface in the new version of the system specially prepared for the user to train the command and activate the handset without difficulty.
