Diversity slogan for the new emoji proposal for 2019 presented this Friday (10th) by Unicode, an organization that standardizes the stickers. The highlight goes to a new image that brings two people hand in hand with 55 variations of gender and skin color. There are also new options for co-guide and deaf person.
In addition to these new features, the entity presented changes in name and order of exhibition in several other characters. The initial list of candidates will still undergo a final evaluation and will be finalized at a Unicode committee meeting scheduled for September.

The total number of emojis expected to debut in 2019 reaches 179. The majority is due to the variation in the figure of a couple holding hands. In addition to the image proposal for the deaf, Unicode evaluates options to include emoji of person with mechanical leg and arm. According to The Verge, these news were suggested by Apple in March and approved by the institutions that make up the Unicode committee.
The organization also presented the first changes prepared for 2020. Ninja emojis, military helmet, mammoth, feather, magic wand, carpentry saw, screwdriver and a new bird are on the preliminary list. More options will be considered by March 2019.

It is worth remembering that the launch of the new emojis does not guarantee immediate availability for the user. The emojis announced by Unicode today will still be voted on in September, and the launch of the new face pack is only scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.
In order to be able to upload and view the new pictures on apps and websites, developers will need to update software with the new emoji base after it is officially released. On mobile, the task is mainly in charge of the operating system: iOS on the iPhone and Android on the others.
