Intel Launches Two New RealSense D400 Depth Cameras

THE Intel recently introduced two cameras for the line RealSense D400, models for in-depth image capture D415 and D435, which has as its main focus New 3D features.

Aimed at educators and developers, the cameras come ready-to-use, USB-connected, and support the Intel RealSense SDK 2.0, which allows for enhanced use for augmented virtual reality development and trend-setting products such as robots. and drones.

The technology of the new RealSense cameras is similar to that found in Windows Hello facial recognition models used in Windows 10 notebooks, but with more depth enhancements.

The models D415 and D435 have as main highlight 3D capture, which allows us to work with the three-dimensionality of indoor and outdoor environments, making products a strong tool for creating devices and content for virtual reality.

The 3D tools, working together with the camera's D4 processing chip, the "brain" of the camera, also allow intelligent devices to "see as humans", which opens the door for more powerful surveillance and imaging devices, as described in Intel:

"Many of today's machines and devices use 2D imaging recognition-based computational vision, but with Intel RealSense technology we are redefining future technologies to" see "as a human" – Sagi Ben Moshe, vice president and general manager of Intel RealSense Group.

The new Intel RealSense D415 and D435 cameras are now available for purchase abroad by $ 149 ($ 477) and $ 145 ($ 465), with deliveries available to Brazil.
