Today, the company has unveiled the next components of the new line, which, in addition to being faster, are the company's first chips to be produced using the 10-nanometer manufacturing method.
The new chips are based on Intel's latest microarchitecture, Sunny Cove, with Turbo boost up to 4.1GHz and a graphic performance of 1.1MHz. These processors are 18% faster in terms of processing per cycle than chips. Sky Lake, launched about four years ago.
As usual, Intel has divided the new chip family into two different series: the Y, for computers that do not have much (smaller) power, and the U, aimed at appliances that use more energy (larger). All in all, there are six new U series chips and five new Y series processors.
