THE Intel no stop!
About a week after introducing the world to the eighth generation of Core processors, the processor giant has once again spotlighted itself by announcing a different kind of beast: the new generation of chips. Intel Xeon W, intended for professional machines and workstations.
The new line arrives to replace the current Xeon E5 and E7 models, which equip the Mac Pro “garbage can”, and fill a gap in the middle segment of high performance processors now, the company now offers “basic” professional models in the Xeon line. E3, which continues to exist; Intermediates are covered precisely by the new Xeon W line, while ultra-advanced Xeon SP processors remain at the top of the performance pyramid.
4, 6, 8, 10, 14 and 18 core models will be available on the Xeon W line, all of them, according to Intel, perform approximately 38% higher than last generation. Here, as in the new Core introduced last week, is Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, which allows for much greater expansion at standard and turbo speeds than clock.

Intel did not provide further details on the expected availability of the new processors beyond the information that they will be released sometime in Q4 2017. timing It seems to be excellent for Apple to embrace the new generation of chips in its so-called new modular Mac Pro, although of course this should not be treated as a confirmation until Ma itself speaks.
Compared to the upcoming iMac Pro, on the other hand, it seems that Cupertino choose the most affordable Core X line.
