Intel executive confirms postponement of “Ivy Bridge” chips to June

And by the way VR-Zone erred in denying the rumor launched by DigiTimes: Sean Maloney, Intel's executive vice president and president of Intel China, confirmed to Financial Times that the “Ivy Bridge” chips will actually arrive in June.

MacBooks Air with Ivy Bridge

Maloney said the expectation is that they will be available 8-10 weeks later than originally planned. The chips, based on the 22 nanometer process, will arrive to succeed the current generation "Sandy Bridge" (32nm).

For us, the annoying thing about this is that Apple is most likely waiting for these chips to launch any new version of Macs, which suggests that we will not hear anything about them for at least the next three months.
