Recent benchmark from Intel's new SoC has achieved a surprising score, surpassing Qualcomm's fastest system while running at just 1.1 GHz.

Intel's new SoC (Sistem on a Chip) has just gained its first benchmark. A particularly impressive test, that is to say. In fact, the Bay Trail showed 30% better performance than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800, which is currently the fastest ARM chip on the market.

The Intel Bay Trail achieved the above result by running at just 1.1 GHz instead of the 2.3 GHz used in Snapdragon 800 testing.

The test was performed by the AnTuTu Benchmark, which features a device named byt_t_ffrd10 Bay Trail-T Form Factor Reference Device. The score obtained is equally impressive: 43,416. The test was done with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, leading to believe that this is the reference tablet taken by Intel last edition of the Computex fair.

Bail Trail-T is the upcoming 22-nanometer SoC developed by Intel to fill tablets, and the system features Silvermont cores. Now wait for the test results when the Bail Trail is running at 2.1 GHz predicted by Intel.

One thing we can be sure of, Intel did not enter the mobile market just to make free!
