Instagram is testing a new shopping function that allows users to receive alerts about the start of product sales on the platform. The warning can be set from a reminder sticker in the Stories, which will be available soon for business accounts. The news, which was announced by the social network on Monday (30), makes it possible for brands to make exclusive promotions and pre-sales on Instagram.

The new feature works similar to the countdown sticker, and offers followers early sales and exclusive promotions. However, instead of setting a deadline for the due date, the shopping sticker redirects users to the product description page, where there is more information such as number, value and release time. By enabling the reminder, the customer will be notified 15 minutes before the product is released for purchase by notifying the application on their mobile phone.

The news is being tested in partnership with more than 20 US brands such as Adidas, Chinatown Market, Revolve, Highsnobiety and Huda Beauty. The adhesive is not limited to trademarks; public person profiles in personal activity campaigns or mobilizations involving people on the web will also have access to the notification feature.

Instagram has been implementing new features to the social shopping feature in the last year. The company announced in March that it was working on the Checkout function, a new e-commerce tool that allows you to start and complete your purchase within Instagram, ranging from payment stages to shipping. In addition, the option to add an integrated buy button to feed posts is also available so that followers will check which products are exposed in the image.

Instagram even offers an exclusive page where you can find products selling brands that the user follows. The platform features descriptions, photos and details about the seller, thus providing all the necessary details before the person completes the purchase on the company's website.
