In the following tutorial, learn how to use the Canva app to make a template for Instagram Stories. The procedure was performed on a Moto G7 Play with Android 9.0 (Pie), but the tips also apply to users of the Apple smartphone.

Step 1. Install the Canva app on your phone. When opening it for the first time, you will need to log into your account or create a free registration. You can use your Google or Facebook account data to continue. On the Canva home screen, tap the search bar and search for "list";

Step 2. In the search results, open the desired model and tap "Edit";

Step 3. By tapping on a text, you can change the font, alignment, color and spacing. Use the buttons that appear around the phrase to rotate or change the size of the box. If you want to edit the content, just touch the text again to open the keyboard. After making the desired adjustments, touch the button in the upper right corner to apply the changes;

Step 4. You can change the color and opacity of the figures, background, margins and other elements. To do this, just click on the desired item and use the options at the bottom of the screen. The buttons that appear around the object serve to move and rotate. After making the desired adjustments, touch the indicated confirmation button to apply the changes;

Step 5. If you want to add new texts, elements, photos or pages, touch the "+" button in the lower right corner of the screen, and select the desired item;

Step 6. When you finish editing, touch the share button in the upper right corner of the screen. In the menu, choose the option "Story from Instagram";

Step 7. If the chosen model has paid items, you must buy credits or use the option "Download draft with watermark" to use the photo for free with Canva's watermark. That done, the image can be opened on Instagram Stories and can be edited and shared on the social network.
