Instagram Stories can sometimes display the message "Unable to upload" when it fails to publish the post. The error can be caused by different reasons, and not being able to post photos and videos irritates users a lot.

The list of reasons for loading problems in Stories is extensive. Therefore, if you are one of those who are having difficulty when posting photos or videos, check below what may be causing the failure and see how to solve it.
How to Make Stories on Instagram

Instagram has restrictions for videos posted on Stories. The file must have a maximum of 15 MB and, preferably, be in MP4. The .MOV format is not accepted by the application. The recording should also be up to 60 seconds long, with a maximum width of 1080 pixels and a rate of 30 frames per second or less. Please make sure your video meets these conditions before attempting the upload again.
Content that violates Instagram's terms of use may also not be uploaded. If the video you are trying to post has scenes of sex, nudity or violence, it is possible for the application to identify the nature of the image even before publication.
Other violations of the terms may result in exclusion from Story and even from the account after posting. Among these are posts with harassment and defamation to third parties, breach of privacy, hate speech or disrespect for the right to image.

It may seem like the most obvious tip in the world, but sometimes the mobile Internet data packet runs out and the user doesn't notice. If this happens and you are without Wi-Fi, naturally the video will give an error when it is loaded.

Clearing the Instagram cache may resolve the upload bug. Android has a mechanism to perform the task in the settings, but the iPhone (iOS) does not. In the case of the Apple product, it is necessary to uninstall the application and then install again. Users of the Google system can follow the steps below.
Step 1. Enter the "Configure" menu, go to the "Device" section and select "Applications";

5. Restart the application
Restarting a program is an option as clich as effective in correcting strange malfunctions. This goes for your computer, mobile phone and also your apps. So close Instagram on the iPhone by sliding the screen to the left or, if you're on Android, force the app to stop.
Then open Instagram again and try to post the Story. If you continue uploading with an error, turn the smartphone off and on and redo the test.

6. Update the Instagram app
App updates often bring bug fixes. If the upload error is occurring due to a possible incompatibility, updating Instagram can eliminate the problem. The procedure, taught in detail in the tutorial, is done through the App Store stores on the iPhone and the Play Store stores on Android.

7. Battery saving mode
The battery saving mode reduces consumption by restricting the operation of applications. This is even more pronounced on Android, but behavior change can also affect the Apple smartphone.
To work around this, disable economy mode while trying to post your Stories. The procedure changes according to the cell phone manufacturer. On the iPhone, I need to go to "Settings", enter the "Battery" option and turn off the "Low power mode" switch.

On phones with pure Android, the tool is in the "Configure" menu, also within the "Battery" item. There you will have the "Battery saving" field which, when opened, will give you a key to activate and deactivate.

8. Inconsistency between accounts
Evaluate your Instagram logins, both in the app and in the mobile browser. If you are logged in with an email different from the one you are using on Instagram, the app will not allow you to post either on Stories or in the feed. Just log out of Instagram with the "wrong" account for the error to be corrected.
9. Post from the gallery
Step 1. A simple trick is to post the photo or video from the mobile gallery. Although the exact step changes according to the device, the procedure is more or less the same. Open the image in the gallery, tap the share button and select "Stories" (or Stories);

Step 2. Make the edits you want and post by touching the "Your Story" button.

10. Report technical problem
Step 1. If none of the above solutions worked, report the problem to Instagram. Enter the profile tab, tap the main menu and select "Settings";

Step 2. Scroll down to the "Support" section and enter "Report a problem". In the dialog box that appears, select this option again. Then describe your problem and, preferably, add screenshots so that the technical support understands the error better. Press the "check" button to send the report and wait until the team gets in touch or the failure stops happening.
