According to Instagram, the novelty will initially be available only in seven countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom. It is not yet known when the resource will be released in Brazil, but some users report that they already have the new function in the application.

The user cannot insert an audio file stored on the cell phone as a sticker. Instead, there will be a music library within Instagram itself with thousands of tracks from various genres. It has a list of popular tracks, and allows you to filter by genre and style.
After capturing a photo or video through Stories, the option to add the music sticker will be in the platform's sticker tray, which gives access to the Instagram library. The user can select only a specific section of the song to include in Stories. The name and artist of the song appear in the final post, in the sticker information.
You can choose the track for a video as well before recording. The camera integrated into the application brings a new option Music on the footer, alongside modes such as Text and Live. The same settings are available: a collection of thousands of tracks and the cutting tool to extract the ideal range to use. In the sequence, the user can record the video accompanying the music.

The sticker arrives at the same time on Android and iOS, but the mode that allows you to choose the song before recording it first released on the Apple system. According to Instagram, the function will be taken to Google software soon.
