New function Instagram Shop offers curatorship of new products and trends and allows purchase by Instagram itself
Last Thursday (16) Instagram officially launched the Instagram Shop, a new function that offers social network users a new way to find and buy products through the network itself.
Along with the new function, Instagram is also introducing on its platform the Facebook Pay, which allows users to not have to leave the social network environment not even to pay for their purchases.
Unveiled in November last year, the Facebook Pay it is a payment platform for Facebook itself, which allows users to register card data (both credit and debit) so that it can execute payments directly via social networks or messaging services managed by Facebook.
In addition to making direct payments to stores, the Facebook Pay it also allows users to make one-off transfers to each other, sending money to any contact's account and debiting the amount transferred to the registered debit card, as if it were a purchase made in the debit option. The advantage of this operation is that, unlike transferring between bank accounts, the person sending the money does not need to pay any fees.

What changes with Instagram Shop
Instagram already has a feature within the platform to mark products being sold in publications, leading to a catalog of the seller. However, to make a purchase, the user was taken to the seller's website off the platform. Like Instagram Shop, it will be possible to make the purchase within the platform, without leaving the app (or the website).
For now, the service can be found inside the explore tab, but Facebook has already warned that by the end of the year, an exclusive tab for it will be introduced at the bottom of the app, making user access to the function much faster.
The idea of Instagram Shop It will serve as a great showcase for users to not only have contact with the news of the stores that follow on the social network, but also to find more easily what are the new trends in the market.

J for tenants, the Instagram Shop allowing exclusive launches on the platform is a very interesting format for brands that, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, have been having trouble showing the public their new collections in addition to allowing them to offer their products for sale directly through Instagram itself if they are already registered with Facebook Pay.
For now, the Instagram Shop it is only available in the United States, but the new function is expected to expand gradually to the rest of the world in the coming weeks.
