You no longer need to download third-party applications to be able to post a picture or video to Instagram in passport or portrait format. The new version of social networking allows users to publish their images in three types of dimensions. Check out the details in the article below.
According to an official Instagram blog post, one in five users were posting images in formats other than conventional portraiture (4: 3). The new version (7.5) adds an image-adjusting icon that will be displayed in the full-size, uncompressed user feed. Widescreen (16: 9) formats will be valid for images and videos, either vertically or horizontally.
The square format will remain the default for new posts, and will only change if the user chooses to use the new options. Instagram 7.5 is now available to everyone through the Play Store. Update your app to the latest version via the button below.
