O Layout from Instagram was released today on the Play Store, and as the name implies, it creates different layouts for your photos, allowing you to make collages with the images in your gallery or with photos taken on the spot.
The images are divided into three categories: Gallery, Faces and Recent. In Gallery are all photos stored on your Android; in Faces, photos that the app identifies contain faces; and in Recent, well, the latest pictures taken with the camera of the device. All very obvious and with the same interface as the main app. The Photo Booth shortcut opens your camera.
After choosing between one and nine different images, just choose the collage layout. As with most collage apps available, you can resize the space each image occupies in the collage, swap positions, replace them, mirror them, or flip them over.
Although it's an Instagram app, you can share the photo with Facebook or other apps besides Instagram, or just save it for later use. Layout has no advanced filters or editing tools, this remains the main app exclusivity. It is also not possible to use videos.
Layout from Instagram lightweight, simple to use and very fluid. It occupies about 5MB on my Moto E first generation and is in version 1.0, requires Android 4.1 and is already available on the Play Store.
