The first thing you should do is make sure you have the latest version of the Instagram app installed. If not, it is important to update the app. This should fix the bugs that are causing Instagram's forced shutdown.

Step 1. Open the Google Play Store and search for Instagram. When opening the social network page, look for the option "Update" in the location indicated in red. If it is not available, it means that the latest version of the app is installed;

Step 2. To ensure that Instagram is updated whenever the developers release a new version, tap on the three risks indicated and open the option "Settings;

Step 3. Then select "Update apps automatically" and choose between the first two options.

Operating systems often create temporary files to speed up the loading of application data. However, over time, the data ends up accumulating and overloading the cell phone's memory. Excessive files in the cache can be one of the reasons why Instagram closes alone.

Step 1. Open your phone's Settings and navigate to "Applications". Then, search for Instagram in the list;

Step 2. Tap on the Instagram icon and select the "Storage" option. Finally, press the "Clear cache" button to free up internal space and optimize the app's performance.

Restarting the cell phone can be an alternative to solve momentary malfunctions on Instagram, as the process closes all open apps and terminates processes that consume RAM memory, improving the device's performance. Press the "power" button on your phone and select the "Restart" option when the screen below is displayed to restart the phone.

4. Uninstall and install the app again

If none of the above solutions worked, it is likely that the cause of the problem is more complicated. The Instagram app may have been corrupted and lost the ability to function properly, for example. In such cases, you will need to uninstall and install the app again.

Step 1. Open the Instagram page on the Play Store and tap on the "Uninstall" button. Wait for the app to be removed;
