Indicates that Apple will soon allow users to hide native iOS apps

A request we made more than a year ago came closer to becoming a reality when Tim Cook addressed the issue in an interview with BuzzFeed in mid-September.

Now the AppAdvice found concrete evidence that shows that Apple can move on to allowing users to finally hide native iOS apps.

ITunes metadata about hiding apps

As the metadata above shows, Apple recently started to include two new keys in all apps: isFirstParty and isFirstPartyHideableApp. With the second set to true, it means that the application in question can be hidden by the user of your Home Screen.

There are purposes for something like that even in third-party apps, but certainly the main utility will be to allow users to no longer be forced to see app icons that they will never use. The iOS comes from the factory with a number of them (of course, not covering 100% of users, if there is no reason to exist), such as Compass, Bag, Tips, Contacts, Game Center, etc. Since we can't erase them, the way.

Just don't wait for something like this to arrive so quickly. At least to me, it sounds like good news to be presented at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016, in June, and it really landed with the release of iOS 10 a few months later.
