In September, the iMac G4 “Lamp” will become officially obsolete

As of September 15, 2009, the famous, beautiful and classic iMac G4 "Lamp" is no longer supported by Apple, joining its list of "obsolete machines". The new drive definitely discontinued includes the USB 2.0 and 17 inch models of the iMac, in addition to the Xserve RAID (SFP).

Declaring a Mac obsolete means that Apple stops supplying machine components to authorized service centers that also no longer need to repair them. Thus, for owners of such computers that need assistance, it is necessary to enlist the help of third-party, unofficial companies.

I consider the current line of iMacs fantastic, but I still think that none has surpassed the “Luxury Jr. lamp” da Ma. Even today I am amazed when I see one live.
